Topic 3.2 - A Global Perspective on Metaliteracy

Paul Prinsloo

Dates: October 7-October 13

Overview

The pursuit of emerging literacy frameworks to address today’s evolving information and technology environment is a global concern. The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has played a pivotal role in promoting media and information literacy (MIL) and adopting the 2012 OER Paris Declaration to bridge the digital divide and advance open access to education internationally. Alton Grizzle and Paul Prinsloo will engage in a dialogue about these issues and provide an international perspective on literacy trends worldwide.
